Putting into operation of the Tesla's Transformer
Model of the 12 million volts transformer was put into operation for the first time on July 10, the day of Tesla's birth, on the Sava's promenade at Kalemegdan.
In order to present Nikola Tesla’s inventions, away from the Museum, many new working models, maquettes and replicas have been made. Purpose for creating these items is superlative and diverse visual presentation of life and scientific work of a great genius, mainly in the course of setting for various travelling exhibitions.
The collection of items from the field of electrical engineering, catalog no. T:25, comprises 76 different exhibits which are grouped into the following areas: electrical measuring instruments, electrical insulation, transmission of electrical energy, medical instruments, electrical devices and components of these.
A special collection - the Personal Collection of Nikola Tesla - contains monographs and periodicals from Tesla’s legacy and many loosely bound press clippings.
