1. DIGITALIZATION AND MICROFILMING
a) BASIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Transfer of original documents to digital images and microfilms in order to provide protection, processing and exploitation of LFNT

- From September to December 2006 – review of all documents and preparation of databases
- From December 2006 to December 2007 – scanning / photographing of documents
e) PROJECT STATUS
Everything has been digitalized according to plan, one segment has been microfilmed, and the digital images have been entered into databases. An application for expert internal processing of digitalized material has been developed, and the application for external users is in its final stages of development. A special database was established for Nikola Tesla patents. The verification of metadata and quality of digital images has been partially finished. The remaining tasks are:
- Scanning of material from the Group II LEGAL ISSUES AND FINANCES, which has been microfilmed in the previous round (before 2006), and then scanned from microfilms in black and white. Processing (scanning etc.) of that segment of the archives has not been planned for 2006/2007,
- Scanning of photographic material on transparent substrates,
- Finishing the verification of the digitalized and microfilmed material,
- Finishing the application for exploitation by external users.

2. CREATION OF SUMMARY AND ANALYTICAL INVENTORIES
a) BASIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Development of reliable information resources for exploitation and protection of documentation materials according to basic classification groups. The inventories would be successively published, printed in Serbian and English languages, and in the electronic form, and would be available through the Museum website.
b) PROJECT PREPARATION
July 2006 – May 2007
c) PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
May – November 2007
d) START OF THE PROJECT REALIZATION
November 2007
e) PROJECT STATUS
Summary inventory for the group IV ACTIVITY and analytical inventory for the group V PLANS AND DRAWINGS are in the final stages of development in Serbian. When finished, the inventories for the groups IV and V should be translated to English and prepared for exploitation. The inventories for the remaining classification groups remain to be made.
f) FINALIZATION OF THE PROJECT
First inventories will be published starting in September 2009, and the finalization of all inventories is planned for the end of 2010.
3. IMPROVEMENT OF STORAGE AND KEEPING CONDITIONS
a) BASIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Improvement of storage and keeping conditions for all forms and types of archive material at all levels (from folders to microclimate conditions).
b) PROJECT PREPARATION
November 2006 – December 2006
c) PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
January 2007
d) START OF THE PROJECT REALIZATION
February 2007 - December 2007.
e) PROJECT STATUS
- Development of special folders and boxes for storage of all segments of LFNT, including positive photographs
- Development of special folders and boxes for storage of more than 50% of the total quantity of documentary material, which has also been repacked in new folders,
- 4 out of the planned 10 special chests, with microclimate devices, have been made
f) FINALIZATION OF THE PROJECT
By June 2009.
